The 10 Happiest Songs On Earth, According To A Neuroscientist.

We’re not surprised to find some real classics on this list!

Do you have a particular song that you turn to when you’re in need of a mood-booster? Perhaps it’s an upbeat song, or a song with catchy lyrics; no matter why you like this song, you always feel better after listening to it. Well it turns out that some songs are actually better at improving our moods then others. In fact, a Dutch cognitive neuroscientist by the name of Dr. Jacob Jolij put together a formula determining the ten songs that make people feel the most happy. The formula, according to Dr. Jolij, states that these feel-good songs have a higher average tempo than that of the typical pop song; 140-150 BPM as opposed to 118 BPM. When you combine the tempo with lyrics and key, you get the strength of the song’s “feel-good nature.” Below you’ll find the list of the top 10 happy songs, according to Dr. Jolij’s formula. We’re not surprised to find some real classics on there; what about you? What is your go-to happy song?
